Smart Deposit Address Modules Overview
Choose a WDK provider for deposit addresses, routing, and transfer tracking.
Smart Deposit Address (SDA) modules let an application discover deposit routes and issue deposit addresses through a provider. A depositor sends an ordinary transfer to the issued address; the provider handles its supported routing and settlement flow.
Rows marked Community are developed and maintained independently by third-party contributors.

Choose a provider
| Module | Provider | Ownership | Custody model | Documentation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
@rhino.fi/wdk-protocol-sda-rhinofi | Rhino.fi | Community | Trusted operator: Rhino.fi issues and sweeps the deposit addresses. | Overview |
@candidelabs/wdk-protocol-sda-candide | Candide | Community | Deterministic contract address with recipient withdrawal and optional recovery permissions. | Overview |
Provider custody and available operations differ. Rhino.fi manages funds while routing a deposit, even though its WDK module does not sign transactions or access private keys. Candide uses a deterministic forwarding contract with recipient withdrawal and optional recovery permissions. Read each provider's custody model, activation or monitoring limits, and recovery permissions before displaying a deposit address to a user.
Understand the shared interface
SDA providers extend SdaProtocol. Route discovery and address creation are required; quote, lookup, history, disable, derivation, renewal, and recovery operations depend on the provider. An optional method can throw UnsupportedOperationError when the provider does not implement it.
Register a compatible provider with wdk.registerProtocol() and retrieve it from an account with getSdaProtocol(). Some providers also support direct construction without a wallet account. Follow their usage pages for the exact constructor, credentials, and supported methods.
Discover routes at runtime rather than assuming a chain or asset is available. Preserve the issued address's chain, asset restrictions, destination, and any required memo when instructing a depositor. Address issuance and deposit completion are separate events; use the provider's documented history or webhook flow to reconcile transfers.
